Ethel Dwyer Middle School Reviews
Rating 3.33 out of 5 3 reviews
The only positive thing I have to say about Dwyer is its food. The snack bar is AMAZING. Now, for everything else. In 2017, only a third of the school's students met the state requirements. Some teachers (namely Mrs. McCord) discriminate against students. Its textbooks are from 1980, its sports programs are miserable, there is a huge drugs and alcohol problem, and supervisors don't give a s--- about safety. You are judged constantly, the language alone might be rated R if in a movie, and its facilities are outdated. Basically everything about this school is a nightmare. But hey, at least there are snacks?
During my stay at Dwyer, they try to put you into classes depending on how well you did in previous classes. A good amount of clubs and activities to join. The food is better than high school sometimes. Teachers are sweet and helpful here. I loved the events at Dwyer and the dances are okay, nothing special.
i go to this school and it’s honestly amazing. the teachers there are very understanding and teach a lot of helpful things. while the amount of students is a bit overwhelming the schools elective programs and ability to connect with students is quite unlike any other.
