Escuela Nueva Brigida Alvarez Rodriguez Reviews
Rating 4.48 out of 5 25 reviews
It's a school specialized in math and science, that helps students prepare for a successful college experience. They provide opportunities for the students to learn and explore career paths. The students are known for their outstanding performances in events like science fairs, math competitions, and college acceptances. The school has three counselors that make sure students are doing the best job that can and helping them improve where needed. Counselors are also there to help the student develop outside of school in things like clubs, extracurricular classes, and early admission. The teachers are outstanding and way above average. They are encouraged to participate with the students and to improve the way they implement their class. The curriculum is packed without being overwhelming. Consisting of two science classes, two math classes, English, Spanish, history, health, and/or physical education. The school also offers a variety of clubs like robotics, game, art, music, and dance.
Since the school is specialized in science and math, every year every enrolled student takes an additional science course as well as math. This means more academic pressure, but more preparation for college. Every year, the school is ranked among the top 5 schools with the highest PAA scores in Puerto Rico. The teachers are very prepared, experienced, and very good resources. The school is also involved in many extracurricular clubs and activities regarding science and math, some of them being in engineering, environmental advocacy and action, math competitions for high school students, etc. Given this, the school is not big on arts, or any other creative club. Lastly, the administration is somewhat hard to reach, close minded, and inconsiderate when it comes to flexibility for the student.
Acquire skills and educational discipline to face the university. Very good teachers, who offered an excellent education. Participate in social, cultural and sports activities, and create bonds of friendship with my colleagues.
