We have a 3rd grader and a child in Pre-K. The IB education and language instruction in Spanish, English and Mandarin is excellent! We travel abroad every summer and my 3rd grader is very confident in Spanish and can converse with kids and adults alike. He even picked up a few Spanish jokes this past summer!

We came to this school for the Spanish Immersion program but stayed because of the IB program which teaches kids to apply what they are learning and to be critical thinkers. We do get a lot of questions from him about “how” and “why” things work which is exactly how IB teaches them to think. We feel this is a vital skill in a world that is quickly moving towards automation where critical holistic thinking is a vital skill.

The math, music, art and Mandarin language instruction are also excellent. For working parents like us we appreciate the before and aftercare program as well as enrichment classes offered at the school.

My daughters have been at EBI for six years and are thriving in the nurturing yet academically challenging environment. The International Baccalaureate (IB) program is teaching my girls about global awareness and citizenship, environmental care, and to be kind to others. EBI has fabulous teachers from numerous countries, and they have taught my daughters speak Spanish with a perfect accent. The facilities are well designed to provide for a great learning environment. Plus, the student body is very diverse. We selected EBI for numerous reasons for our girls, including the gift of learning Spanish and Mandarin language, and we couldn't be happier with our choice.
We live in a 10/10 public school district and still choose to send our child to EBI. We were introduced to EBI during our child's preschool years and have been there ever since. The combination of academics, community and language immersion have been the reason that we come back every year. Teachers really care about their students (and their families). We love the warm culture and individual attention on student needs. The school takes diversity and inclusion seriously, particularly as it relates to gender, race and LGBT. We're always pleased to see an emphasis on creativity and the arts, as well as learning about yourself as an individual and how you contribute to the world. For our child, individualized learning realizes itself through additional math sheets for an extra challenge. I give EBI a four because (1) being a smaller school, there are fewer opportunities for school run competitive sports, and (2) I would like to see greater support in place for neurodiversity.
