Overall, this school is great. The administrators and the counselors try and help you achieve your academic goals. Because it is a smaller school, you get really close with a lot of your classmates which can really help your social life in and outside of high school. The only real hiccup is that there are not as many electives available at school because it is smaller. Other than that, Escalon high encourages students no matter where they want to go next. The counselors help prepare you for any type of school after high school that you may want to go to, whether that be a trade school, a junior college, or a four year. It’s a great environment and a clean school school as well. I would definitely recommend coming to Escalon high school.
I think some of my favorite aspects of Escalon High School are the teachers. Anybody could easily see how much they care about the students and how much hard work they put into their jobs. They all are truly amazing people. I also feel blessed that I feel our school is a rather safe environment, for I know not everyone can boast about the quality of safety at their school. I would, however, like to see a shift of focus on sports. I think that a heavy support on football is okay but at the same time it would be nice for other student athletes that do not participate in football to receive the same degree of support as well. Additionally, I wish their was a little more attention and inclusion of racial diversity.
Escalon High School has been a roller coaster since day one of my freshman year. The adults push me to get work to be done now before it due for the real world outside of high school and into college by giving us activities to plan our prized path to our desired future and backup plans to get back on the tracks of the ride, eventhough it loops over and over again. Escalon High not only prepared me academically for my future, it prepared me to be emotionally ready for those loops in my path that might involve my family, my friends, my inner self, or even with the environment around me while some people are dreading the recent death of a fellow student in Escalon High. The fellow student was a loop of a loop that came to my path and Escalon High helped me just pass it safely and smoothly.
