So far what I've experienced at Duncan Polytechnical High School is only positive this school has a very easy going vibe. This school is very diverse and I feel that I have learned about many cultures just by attending this school. Although the work can be very difficult the teachers are always there to help and will go out of their way to ensure their students clearly understand the curriculum and lessons. The teachers and counselors are also there to ensure that you feel safe at school and that everyone no matter their background,gender,and/or race. There is also many fun events that students organize themselves, I personally enjoyed homecoming and hope to attend more events in the future.

I am a senior at Duncan Poly High. I've been there since my freshman year, what I like about this school is the Academy's that they offer. Medical Applied Science & Health (MASH) academy which offers three different pathways, Certified Nursing Assistant Class, Therapy and Pharmacy Class. We get alot of hands on training and get and idea of what our future would be like. The other academy is Innovative Design Applied Technology Academy (IDATA), this academy offers various of pathways which are construction, welding and automotive engineering. We get to attend jobsite and have more hands on experience. The only change that there should be is transposition, due to it being such a great school many students tend to struggle with transposition because many of us like me live around our home school. Which is a bit far from Duncan High.
What I enjoyed about Duncan was that is a small campus and our student body is made up of different people. Although everyone has different view and morals that can be completely opposite the an the next person, we accept for who they are as an individual. Although the classes leave us a lot of stress projects it’s well worth it, because in the end majority of the student body is college and career ready. Different opportunities are available to us that other schools don’t for instance out ROP classes that help students advance in their medical career or a hands on career. Since this is available to us. The only thing I believe should be available or at least attempt is a music classes like band (or like our sport programs in which we play for other schools) or help students that really want to participate in other schools. Despite that minor flaw Duncan is still a great school that helps students become independent on their own skills.
