I am part of graduate Class of 2020. Epic is a place that you who either hate or love. However, you would hate or love it based on the actions and decisions you decide to make while attending. I graduated as the Valedictorian of 115 people. Though I had some issues with some teachers (who were white) my freshman year not believing that people of color could be intelligent, I never waiver at them nitpicking my confidence. These teachers ended up getting fired. I think that Epic handled these situations perfectly. Student involvement in advocating themselves is very important to Epic staff. I would not push anyone to become Valedictorian, or to be the "star" student. I would just recommend to be yourself and enjoy what you want to enjoy. Only you can make the experience better for yourself.
My overall experience at EPIC has been so-so/mediocre. What I like about EPIC is how they offer many opportunities/outlets to their students, such as college readiness programs. However, what I would like to see change at EPIC is the administration, and the clubs and activities.
What I like about Epic Academy High School is the college bound that it has. Epic prepares every student for college and provides them with many great opportunities. Epic doesn't just help students get into college, but it gives students the chance to experience the feeling of being in college. Students come to school ready to learn and make a change. Epic is no a big school so it makes it easier for teachers, security guards and staff know every student. Moreover, I like how well Epic makes sure to keep every student on track and ready to succeed. One thing I would change about Epic is its safety. Epic is around a not so safe community and therefore, it is important to keep every student safe.
