Environmental Charter Middle School Reviews

In the interim that I attended this school, the teachers were very benevolent towards their students and used what was referred to as the 'tribes agreements' to incite proper behavior. As the school is quite new, more clubs, classrooms, and materials are being added. The staff members are approachable due to the school being very small. However, there are a few flaws. Most students did misbehave, such as speaking over the teachers, but it did vary on whom it was. Once in a while, there are fights with new students, but they are later on disciplined and change. The school isn't the best with separating students into academic levels, which can cause issues with academically advanced students.

The school conveys a variety of after school programs to attend. For example, there are programs that assist students with low testing scores under specific subjects that allows them to increase their skill. Others are for enjoyment (dance, video games, ect). Moreover, there are others that are more academic (E.G: MESA).
The safety isn't the most impeccable, such as when the nurse isn't present when most of the injuries occur. In addition, harassment from one student to another is common, but controlled and punished. The Inglewood campus isn't located in the safest area, as well as the Gardena campus.
