This school helped me overcome my shyness and learn leadership and social skills. The trips were immensely fun, and are something I will remember for the rest of my life.
EAS was a great way to push me out of my comfort zone, as it was easy to tell that each teacher cared about your growth and learning experience. The leadership skills and collaboration skills taught through amazing community service projects and many trips truly helped me many years after. Additionally, the difficult coursework prepared my peers well for high school and beyond.
This school is similar to high school, in terms of work load and academic rigor. From just coming out of elementary school, it's a struggle but over time, students seem to adapt. This school is unique, the second week of school, everyone goes on a 5 day camping trip. In April, students can go with one of the five teachers on there trips. The third and last trip, usually the first week of June, the whole school goes on another camping trip to reflect on the whole year.
