Some of the teachers are great and will do everything in their power to help you. But honestly most of the staff seems to not care about any of the students , it seems like many teachers here only got their teaching degree so they can be in charge of someone. There is barley any options to make up credits besides apex. The only classes we have besides the required ones, are art, american novels, detective stories, and yearbook. This school has no options besides required classes basically. The principle and office staff doesn't seem to care all that much about the high school. The office staff is almost never in the office and its very difficult to find them most days. The office doesn't pay attention to who comes into the school, even though theirs a button that needs to be pushed to get in they never push it and you have to go around and push it yourself. The good parts about this school doesn't come from the staff it comes from the relationships you build with your classmates.
Pros: Very small town= small class size and more 1:1 support. Most elementary teachers care about their students.
Cons: Very small town = few opportunities for M-H electives, sports are the only extracurricular activities, no permanent guidance counselors. Poor follow through with disability services by admin and teachers. Though I know they want to help, they don’t want to do the work and have little budget for support. All support services have less than 1/2 the budget of admin, food, and/or other priorities. Sad.

LGBT community is very big and tight knit here. Academics are mid. School culture is generally pretty good. The sports teams are excellent. Administration is not great. my absences often stay unexcused for weeks after my mom called the school. The facilities are somewhat lacking for the rising population of our town. We don't have a school resource officer or long term school nurse. Overall though, I like it here.
