Englewood has given students many resources from colleges to volunteer opportunities and many more. Teachers, counselors, and faculties make sure students are prepared for the real world outside of highschool. Englewood has many programs such Early college, JROTC, TRIO, and other extracurriculars that lets student go and test their learning abilities and help them find new passion and interest.
My experience in Englewood High School isn't the best but it isn't the worst neither. I like that is really diverse and there some teachers that will always help you with whatever you need even if you don't know them. But the parent involvement, the safety, the administration, and the food is really poor. They don't involve parents in really anything, the safety is really poor, everyone could enter, the administration instead of helping will confuse you and the food that they give isn't the best and it isn't nutritious. Another poor aspect is that the music and art classes/curriculum isn't really good, I like music/art and I know about it but even the advanced classes are really poor.
My high school experience was very normal that it was often to boring to enjoy. For me high school was not your typical going to football games or having those cliche high school parties. It was always just school, getting a high goa, getting good grades and just making my hispanic mother proud. My high school wasn’t bad because of how it was it was just how other kids were to each other so if i could change something about my high school it would be the way kids treat each other I think people should learn that being in these groups in high school don’t matter because once you leave high school you’ll make friends with people that you thought you would never talk to. So I would just like if my high school showed people and encouraged students to always talk and check with others just to make them feel involved and not make people feel invisible.
