As someone who attended ESUMS from 6th - to 12th grade, I can confidently say you get what you put in. Although the administration and school culture are great, the teachers and connections that they offer are phenomenal. As long as you show them respect and show that you're a hard worker, they're willing to help you with anything they can and show genuine interest in what they're teaching. Admittedly, this doesn't apply to every teacher but the majority fit into what I described. THIS SCHOOL IS NOT FOR STUDENTS WHO ARE NOT INTERESTED IN S.T.E.M! I guarantee you will regret going to the school and will feel that you didn't have a good highschool experience.
ESUM provides a quality, college preparatory education with an emphasis on science and math. Like all schools, there are struggles but if a parent/child are invested in education I have found that staff and teachers alike work to ensure children's needs are being met.
I've been going to ESUMS since I was in 6th grade and it is not a terrible school, but it is not the best school. The academics are great 10/10 but the kids & the environment? Horrible, the teachers? Average not the best. There were many times when I felt like I wasn't learning anything that would be useful to prepare me for the real world. It's primarily based on academics.
