The school is very clean and organized. It has the most recent technology available for schools, such as max books, Mac computers, google Chrome books, Projectors, etc. The food isn’t the best but it’s very clean. There are a lot of advanced classes and you can take classes at colleges or the neighboring college, University of New Haven. It’s very friendly and I enjoyed it!
ESUMS is a school that will challenge even the brightest of students. The beautiful new building provides students with state-of-the-art technology and collaborative resources to study STEM subjects. The school provides students with the opportunity to take engineering classes each year from grade 6 - 12, which theoretically will transfer to the neighboring college University of New Haven (along with a guaranteed scholarship if you graduate from ESUMS and are accepted into UNH). However, the school, administration, and some teachers are VERY unorganized and downright disrespectful to students and parents, and the school is often limited by the district. ESUMS is still a relatively new school, but it's still got a lot of growing up to do. Play your cards right and get the good teachers, and you will get a private-school quality education for free.
ESUMS is an excellent school if you're a kid who loves S.T.E.M., and who wants to go to college. There are a lot of after-school programs like dancing, math club, tabletop gaming club, and more! They will also introduce you to programs that are out of school if you're interested.
