Energy Tech is a great high school, especially for those who want to pursue careers in science, math, and engineering. The teachers are very supportive and friendly. It offers free college programs in La Guardia community college. I'm having a great experience so far. This high school also focuses on the mental development of students so there are a couple of mental health events organized by the HS from time to time. Since this is a pretty new high school, it's still working on developing into a better school for students. I'm highly impressed by the progress it has done so far. I'm very satisfied with the variety of sports and clubs as well as activities. The guardian counselor is also very sweet and she is always ready to help students. Overall, if you're planning to go to Energy Tech, trust me - it's worth it! As a CS enthusiast, I'm learning a lot about technologies and comuper science in Energy Tech High School.
The Principal, teachers and staff are very involved in the success and development of the students. They listen to the parents and are very welcoming to more parents to voice their opinion, suggestions and involvement in the success of the students and the school. I am very glad that my son goes to this school and he is extremely happy there. His only disappointment is that Covid-19 has changed everything about the in-person school experience and this is no fault of the school.
School is small but diverse. Teachers are great and helpful! There are a lot of clubs you can join and they try to help you with Everything they can from your grades to college prep
