Emmanuel Lutheran School Reviews
Rating 4 out of 5 2 reviews
I attended Emmanuel Lutheran from preschool thru eighth grade. I then went on to take AP and honors classes in high school and even graduated a year early. I received a bachelors degree in education and have taught in elementary grades for three years. I owe a lot of my growth and guidance to Emmanuel Lutheran school and the foundation of learning I received there.
As a senior in high school who attended ELS from preschool through 8th grade, the school will always have a special place in my heart. That being said ELS was not without its flaws. Personally, I feel like their math program didn't prepare me for high school very well. They also lack developed extracurriculars besides Concert Band and Volleyball. I also ended up having a couple bad teachers but the others were all supportive and extrodinary. Another benefit of ELS is the small class sizes and single class per grade level system. This means that students are with the same group of peers through the years which fosters close friendships and a family-like bond. I am still very close friends with people I've known from Preschool! Overall, ELS can improve but the family-like small community is really what makes it special.
