Emerson is excellent if you're in search of an alternative experience. The education in English was great and full of depth, but the sciences were lacking. I hope the system improves in the future.

It's a very close, supportive community. When I was a student there were a few problems concerning the science classes in the high school but the school has recently made steps to fix them.
Emerson Waldorf school is an untraditional school which nurtures the independent self and teaches valuable life skills. You learn everything from biochemistry to blacksmithing to transcendentalism. It is a very small school with caring faculty and a beautiful campus.
