I moved from Chicago to Park Ridge in 8th grade in 2013. Although I was at Emerson Middle School for one year, I felt like I was there for all three years. The teachers and students were very welcoming and I made friends fast. The environment of the school was very safe and cheerful. I looked forward to going to school every day to see my favorite teachers, my friends, and learn new things. As a former CPS student, I saw a big difference in education style. There were a lot more clubs and activities that you could get involved in. The resources and elective classes provided had a range in interest including photography, filmmaking, and cooking. Overall, I believe Emerson Middle School has outstanding programs and well- educated teachers. I am very thankful for being part of it.

My overall experience from Emerson Middle School was such a great experience I will never forget. Every moment I had with the teachers, the students, and with the classes will be something that you will always reflect on in this school. This school really does not only get you ready for High School, but also gets you ready for College. The principal and the assistant principal, especially, are the best that I could have ever asked. For they are like your best friends you could ever have in Middle School. So in Conclusion, I will always remember Emerson one of the best middle schools in America.
Overall I enjoyed my middle school experience. I took advantage of advanced core classes and the myriad of fun other classes like art, sewing, woodshop, etc. I met most of my best friends at Emerson even though we're all in colleges across the country now. The teachers were super caring and really prepared me for high school. I did well but it took a lot of work. At a young age they really throw a lot of homework and stress on you. I turned out well in the end, though, was placed into accelerated/AP classes in high school and made it into a Big 10 university. I would probably attend Emerson again if I had to go back to middle school.
