I liked Emerson south mid-high school because their are less kids and less drama at school the teachers are very polite , and they are very helpful and try to help you find out what you wanna do in your life , the things I would like to see changed in school are to be able to bring a backpack to school , to not take my shoes off like if I was at the airport to be able to wear my sweater without taking it off because they think I have drugs in it to go to the bathroom without being escorted by a teacher .

the thing about it is, I may be apart of Emerson's system but my family is at the Metro Career Academy. This school is almost like a comfort zone for me. Over the past 2 years, I have been able to come up here and express myself they way i want to and not have to be what anyone else wants me to be. I have done more here than i ever have since being in school. The teachers and administrators truly care for us as students and always want to kno what it is we are thinking, what it is we want to do, and how we feel the school could be better. Here at MCA, students are valued to be whatever they want to be, and recieve the help they need to become that.
At MCA, we really only have one sport, and that is rowing. But we do have our own wellnes center where students can go exercise, and play games and focus on being healthy. We also have a full basketball/ volleyball court behind our building. students can go play basketball everyday during lunch. And in the months of September and April we try to have a schoolwide volleyball match. It's usually pretty fun.
