While for the most part, Elmwood High School does well in preparing students for future after graduation. The school and surrounding area are a safe and comfortable environment, but because it is such a small school/town, there is a lack of diversity and attempts at modernization can be clumsily executed.
Elmwood High School is a small school that is surrounded by a tight knit community in a small town. It does a great job of supporting its sports. However, it does have a problem supporting female sports and academy extracurriculars such as scholastic bowl. It also barely supports the arts to the point where the art programs get basically no funding. The teachers there for the most part are friendly and helpful. Most of them truly care about their students. The opportunities are limited because it is a small school, however, the community makes up for that aspect. Over all it is a fairly good school. It just needs to value the arts and academic extracurriculars more.
My experience with Elmwood High School has been great. I have made amazing friends and have received all the educational requirements needed. For the future I think that Elmwood High School should start providing more classes like astrology, anatomy, mythology, and more specific classes like those.
