The teachers here are extremely dedicated to their students. I have learned a lot from my 3 years there. My teachers have always pushed me to do my best and challenge myself. I've taken honors and AP classes and excelled in them through the help of the staff. The school also has an incredible performing arts department that I've been highly involved in. The one thing I would change is the environment of the school. The faculty is amazing, but they don't do enough about the school climate. There is a huge problem with bullying, and the staff efforts aren't working. They talk about the issue but have never put policies into effect to help solve the problem. Overall, I am very happy with my experience there, and I have grown both as a student and a person from my time there.

My time at Elk Ridge Middle School was some of the best and worst years of my life! In all honesty, my 9th grade year at ERMS was so good that I've been terrified that my Senior year won't be able to live up to it!! I always adored Elk Ridge because of its administration and the teachers! All of the administration members genuinely care about the students, and their ability to receive a proper education. They've also always been open to any changes that students, or other members of the community would like.
The teachers are just as, if not more, friendly! Every student felt that there was a genuine friend in their teachers, and all of them could be trusted. In fact, a couple years ago the choir teacher, Mr. Goodrich, was nominated for a Grammy Award for Music Educator of the Year! (It was only his 3rd year of teaching and he qualified in the top 190!) My time at Elk Ridge was a blast!
Almost all the teachers do a really nice job of teaching. They will always help students individually if they don't understand and have questions. The scheduling process is rather simple. They give the student a card with all of the classes, and students just circle the classes they want. And if it is an advanced class like the top choir or orchestra, and other classes like that, then you just have to get a signature from that teacher.
