Buckingham Collegiate Charter Academy has been an experience I deeply appreciate. Buckingham provides a rigorous relevant education and curriculum that prepares students to become future-ready global contributors through the integration of Science, Technology, Engineering, The Arts, and Mathematics. Staff has been supportive and engaging before, during, and after the Covid pandemic and counselors care and always exhibit enthusiasm!
My experience at Buckingham has been overall a tremendous opportunity to grow as an academic and scholar. The teaching staff is amazing and you are able to have close relationships with them due to the low student to teacher ratio. Additionally, it offers an overwhelming array of college preparatory courses as well as career and arts pathways. The facilities are ok but the sports programs are drastically underfunded. Also, they do not offer a lot of AP courses and they rely on dual enrollment in Solano Community College for more rigorous courses, which may not suit many student. All in all, my experience has been extremely positive and I am overjoyed to have chosen this school.
They offers so much help like tutoring and college assistance. The teachers and counselors want their students to graduate with good scores and have then ready for the college life. They will encourage you to keep going forward. The classes are smaller than regular high school so, that the teachers can focus more on the students. The school also offers college prep classes called ap classes. And they also give there students the opportunities to take some college class at solano in person or online for free. Which I like because I any students can advance there college credits if they want to and Including I, have already taken some.
