I would not choose to send my children to this school again if I had the chance. I think teachers and administrators should treat everyone the same. Students should make a team because of their skills not their name. People should not be treated like dirt because they don't have alot of money, or don't have the right last name.
This year Elgin has rehired the superintendent that is trying to close the school in Carson. He has tried numerous times to do this in the past.
The 2 communities still seem to be rivals and this is the last year there will be a academic COOP.
Next year Carson is pairing up with a small town in the opposite direction for their high school students to attend while they will still maintain K-8 grades in Carson.

I have participated in many extra-curriculars, because that is the normal for this school. I keep high academic standards for myself otherwise no one else really did. However, our school definitely retains a bully free zone, and we have teachers that make learning a unique and enjoyable experience.
