All of the teachers offer extra help either before or after school, which is really helpful for students who are struggling. One of my teachers, who I had both last year and this year for Computational Thinking and Physics, stayed until the school closed some nights to help students with projects! His course as well as my other classes were challenging and demanding (especially with the homework!), but the teachers always gave the help we needed. In addition, the teachers at Eleanor Roosevelt are all very knowledgeable in their respective subjects, and most teach advanced courses for smaller classes, such as AP classes or research courses. They are all very approachable, and I have had very good relationships with them over the years!

I thought going to high school here was excellent! Very diverse, great teachers, and supporting environment. They really helped prepare me for college.
Eleanor Roosevelt High School is an amazing place to prepare for the academic workload of college. The teachers are fantastic and truly care about their students and I cannot stress enough how dedicated and loving the administration is. The pressure of homework is intense at ELRO, but I've felt very prepared for college because of it. Eleanor Roosevelt High School could seek to improve their after school activities, particularly their clubs.
