El Dorado High School is a wonderful school with an incredible amount of school spirit. Every Friday we wear our school colors, black and gold, and we like to call ourselves gold-blooded because of our love for our school. Many of the teachers are willing to help students succeed and make learning enjoyable. There is something at El Dorado for everyone and I think we have a close-knit community. We have an amazing Law Academy, mock trial team, performing arts department, athletics, band, science olympiad, visual arts department, fun clubs, and DMAA (digital media arts academy) that we specialize in at our school. El Dorado is an exciting school and I strongly recommend attending!

When I transferred to El Dorado High School my Junior year, I was nervous about entering into a new public school environment since I came from a private religious educational background. However, the staff and student community were all very welcoming, supportive, and encouraged me to be involved with school activities and events like dances and club meetings. For example, my director for the performing arts program and theatre classmates have encouraged me to improve my acting skills and pursue in- and out-of-school theatre-related opportunities so I can discover more about the art. Additionally, campus security and school policy have made me feel safe on campus, which I believe is especially important for cases of emergency and protection from danger. Overall, I am very happy with my experience at El Dorado, and I would encourage students in the district to attend this school and involve themselves in the variety of academic and social opportunities offered.
El Dorado High School is my second home! I come to school ready to learn because I'm surrounded by incredible student and staff who love on me constantly. The teachers there genuinely care about their students and want each and every one of them to excel and go beyond just passing their class. I have made incredible bonds and relationships with my teachers like my Spanish teacher whom I've had for 3 years in a row! It's a safe and fun environment to learn in. Our school has so much school pride or what we call "hawk pride". El Dorado is genuinely one of the best schools in the district.
