There is certainly a sense of pride at the school, from student council to sports teams! The staff is very friendly and well intentioned. It is a very resourceful school full of counselors that help students prepare for college readiness. I believe it was ranked as a grade a school and is the only school in the district with a grade A in post-secondary college readiness. I feel that El Dorado and most schools in Eo Paso have demonstrated this sense of El Pasoan pride, another positive connotation to the school.

I absolutely love El Dorado Highschool! I was in the IB program from 9th-11th grade and I feel like it has helped me grow a lot as a person and a student. I have never had a teacher that wasn't ready to help, or that made me feel like they did not care about their students. The IB coordinator is extremely caring and a great role model. Once leaving the IB program, I was left knowing little to no one in my classes but making friends was easy and I am very grateful for that. My peers are great and I am happy to be around them.
El Dorado High School is a welcoming school that offers various extracurricular and academic clubs to participate in. This school has a plethora of resources for students that help them during the college application process such as a college advisor, counselors, and a club known as Advancement Via Individual Determination, which promotes college readiness. Additionally, El Dorado High School offers numerous enrichment programs such as Advanced Placement, Dual Credit, and the International Baccalaureate program, which all give students college credit and the experience of a college environment without the cost of actually attending college. Overall, this school is well above average when it comes to academics and resources as well as school spirit. Coming as a student from a completely different feeder pattern, I was welcomed and treated very well by students from all social classes. In sum, this is a very good school.
