El Dorado High has a great new building. State of the art facility. Teachers and Guidance staff are supportive and helpful. Teach for America teachers were some of my favorites, because they were recent college graduates and we're enthusiastic about what they were doing. We have an absolutely amazing opportunity in our town with the El Dorado Promise Scholarship. It's available to all graduates of the El Dorado School High School with at least the last four years in El Dorado. Can't think of a better win win situation!

The teachers are willing to help students when they are in an educational bind, offering tutoring and one-on-one to make sure they understand the material and are not falling behind in classes. I was given several opportunities for extracurricular activities as well. The academic experience here has been very beneficial towards my education.
At times, I would like to see changes in the viewpoints of the school from the student body as a whole, but these times are rare and are common for adolescents in school.
El Dorado High School has given a good experience with opportunities and quality education, and, as many say, it is the promising choice.
I graduated in 2002 but am currently enrolled at University of Arkansas seeking a Supply Chain Management degree. I enjoyed my time experience at El Dorado High School. It was located next to the South Arkansas Arboretum. The design of the school was unique in the sense that there were no closed hallways. All of the sidewalks were exposed to the outdoors. There were also courtyards located throughout so students could enjoy lunch outside when the weather was nice. I was a 4-year letterman for the golf team and also attended as many sporting events I could. EHS went to the state championship 3 out of 4 years in football so it was exciting as a student. Another benefit to El Dorado High School is the El Dorado Promise established in 2006. Unfortunately I already graduated but by younger brothers benefited from it. Every gradating senior get the opportunity to have their tuition paid for all 4 years. The only requirements is to maintain a 2.0 GPA which is very achievable.
