my experience at El Dorado High School as a sophomore was AMAZING! The students are really kind, the teaching methods are very beneficial and everyone cares for each other. Since I have attended this school my freshman and sophomore year and still will be continuing my junior year, I believe this is the best place on earth for me. The school also have many courses such as accounting, JROTC, financial literacy/literature. I never had a dull moment attending this school. I really love it here.
I attended El dorado high school for 4 years. I had numerous opportunities including ACT testing and preparation and AP advanced placement courses. There were also opportunities to take courses from the local community college for vocational opportunities or starting your college path. There was also the Eldorado Promise - a scholarship that helped pay for college. This program also made payments for placement testing as well as certain AP scores and Certain ACT and SAT test scores. They had great opportunities!
My favorite thing about El Dorado High School is the educators. Many of my teachers spend more time working outside of the hours they are payed than they do on contract hours. I have built strong relationships with the educators and administrators in my district because they are open to working with students on issues in the schools. Collaboration allows solutions that students agree with and helps students feel included in the school rather than a lesser species. I have never been to a school district with a greater effort to include student opinions than El Dorado School District.
