Great school with great teachers! Love the golf program! Coaches are amazing. I am really thankful for going to this great school who has a zero tolerance to bullying! All my teachers are super supportive of me and how I value my studies. I would recommend anyone in going here. It’s a beautiful school. Great atmosphere. CTE pathways are great. Mr Shaw is our principal and he is the nicest and caring principal. He is always looking out for the students best interest. You will always find him at several sporting events! He genuinely cares about his students! The counselor are wonderful too, I really don’t have anything bad to say about the school my only wish would have been to have a better softball program. I still played for three of the 4 years. El Capitan has been good to me even through this whole pandemic we have been through!
Most teachers are chill, some can't really teach clearly but all are fairly nice. Environment is okay, not the safest not the worst. The administration for this school district is having many issues as of 2022 and 2023, issues effect students and staff who both have equally complained about their problems with the administration but things usually don't fix themselves. The counselors are not very useful and if you have questions it's better to research yourself rather than go to the counselors. Same thing goes with planning classes or school plans, you should plan it yourself because counselors aren't great.
El Capitan High School is like a hidden gem. It is a school that focuses on changes and wants every student to thrive to be the best version of themselves. There are multiple talented teachers in different departments and different classes to suit everyone's interests. I love my years in El Capitan and the resources they offer. I like that everyone help each other and support each other through tough times. There may be some rumors or problems that happens from time to time but El Capitan is a school that wants their students to create their own legacy and be successful in life with all the help that they need. I would hope they offer more creative aspect classes like film, fashion, family, and photography.
