The academics are very good at IKE, with plenty of opportunities for advanced classes (AP, college-credit, dual enrollment). Admin is very supportive of these options and pushes them onto every student - which although it inarguably has positives, has been known to overstress many students. Additionally, many of my fellow students are not exactly the most pleasant to be around, whether that be in their attitude/beliefs, actions, or general attitude. I have had negative experiences with several teachers, but admin is always open to communication and seems to genuinely care. Although I have certainly had bad experiences here, it is a good school nevertheless.
My Highschool experience was mixed, to say the least. In regards to the education I received, I cannot complain. While the curriculum is not the most updated, this is supplemented by the fact that the majority of the teachers truly seemed to care about both their work and the students entrusted into their care. In addition, the school provided ample opportunities for college prep. The school set-up/offerd near-weekly college visits and numerous AP courses
.
While the school excelled academically the human element left much to be desired. While the teachers were excellent, my fellow students were not. While many students did truly care about their academic performance, most were filled with apathy. This apathy tainted the general atmosphere of the school and made group projects especially difficult

There are many accomplishments to be proud of when one attends Eisenhower. The academics are fantastic because of the abundance of classes a student can take. There are honor and AP for each subject, and students can leave campus to attend actual college classes. There are plenty of engineering and computer courses one can take to expand their knowledge, which many schools do not offer to students. There are classes students can take which can expand their interests and help them decide what to do in university, career and life after high school. The clubs and sports are above average. Many have gone to regional and state competitions, and everyone is so passionate about them, that it is like family within the community of Eisenhower. There is so much school spirit during football season and dances, and it is a fun experience to get involved. Eisenhower has given me the platform to achieve all of my dreams and aspirations after high school.
