The best part about attending Eisenhower is the drama club. When I started at Eisenhower I didn't know many people because I was enrolled in the virtual academy the previous school year due to the pandemic. I always loved theater, even did some shows outside of school, and was excited to meet new people. Now that I'm about to start my senior year, I'm so glad I decided to join. I have made so many friends who always support me and it's a very uplifting group! The worst part is the teacher to student ratio. I never feel like I can connect with my teachers, except a few who go out of the way to make students feel seen. I would change how connected we are as a school. I believe if you know your students, you can help them achieve their goals. Having open lines of communication can help the teachers when students are struggling and the teachers can provide support.
Coming to this school for four years was incredibly a great experience! I was constantly surrounded by great and positive energy and incredibly talented individuals who always put a smile on my face. This school has taught me many lessons whether it be pretrained in math, science, or eve physical strength like gym! The school was always a joy to my day. The counselors were always a helping hand as well as the main and assistant principals. In conclusion, I really did enjoy spending my years attending this school and I hope that others who will also be attending Eisenhower High School be constantly shared with the same positive energy that was once shared with me, thank you Eisenhower High School.
Eisenhower is a decent school, with decent teachers and decent classes. Walking into the windowless brick prison, the response your inner voice gives would most likely be, "meh." Grades are heavily inflated, and teachers go extremely easy on students, allowing them to turn in late assignments with no repercussions and giving extra credit nearly every quarter. The easy going teachers make for a fun class but harms the value of education. Furthermore, the facilities of Eisenhower lack in dependability. Many hand dryers are broken, many bathrooms lack toilet paper, and some toilets are broken. Also, while some lunches taste okay for the standard of "school" lunches, some are repulsive. I've wondered if I was eating fish or beef. However, despite all the negatives, Eisenhower does its best to make it the best experience for students. From its numerous sports and clubs to its newly added ping pong tables to promote mental health, it's evident Eisenhower cares. It's not completely bad.
