Overall a good experience! They offer a wide selection of classes as well as extracurriculars. The teachers are overall good, many are passionate about what they teach. There are pretty good mental health resources like the Teen Center for those who need it. I would like it if there were more resources for college, at times there was important information about deadlines and stuff that were not communicated to me. However, I would definitely say my experience here has been positive!
Overall, it could be worse. Is it the best? Nope. But it’s above average. I do hate how strict they are with tardies. We “start” school at 7:35 in the morning, with a 7 minute homeroom period, so our first class starts at around 7:41 ish. However, if you come in after 7:35, POW! You get a tardy, even after coming in a minute late. That’s one thing I just hate about this school and the fact that they are pushing the time back so we start earlier in the morning. But yeah, we have pretty good academics like a variety of AP courses, but I guess it doesn’t help one who doesn’t take AP courses. The teachers I’ve had so far are pretty great. Some are meh.
I'm currently a senior at EHTHS and I like attending this school. Our high school is very diverse and has about 3,000 students. Overall, I've never had any issues with the staff as they are very helpful and considerate. I think one let down about the school is the cafeteria food, but I think many schools have the same issue. One good thing about the school is that they have a good course selection including several AP classes. There are also no limited amount of AP classes you can take at EHT which is also a plus! We're also really big on school spirit, in any sporting event you'll see everyone go wild and cheer.
