EE Smith is a new environment for me and I love it. I came from Texas in 2017 from a traditional high school. When I came to Smith, it was like being in a movie. The cultural arts department is AMAZING! I love being apart of this department, the family atmosphere is like no other and the shows, concerts, and performances we produce make it worth while. Everyone in the department is very dedicated to their abilities and talents and the teachers that aid us in our growth are even more amazing. The cultural arts department is the best thing at the school, subjectively. There's no show choir, arts, drama club, or band/orchestras that I've witnessed at schools that are more dedicated and loving as the ones present in the Smith cultural arts department.

Ezekiel Ezra Smith High School is a great school academically. The staff encourages every scholar to graduate. Everyone is provided with extra help if need and scholarships are available. Guess speakers come; there are college fairs. The first thing you will notice in the hall are the posters. There is an effective "no kid gets left behind" program, which is great for students who are in numerous afterschool activities. E.E. Smith as the potential to be the best in the Cumberland County area if it was not for the underclassman bringing down the school's name. Some scholars are simply dreadful to be around because they pick fights with their peers and teachers; they are also loud, disruptive, and disrespectful all together but, once the junior year comes around most students matured and focused is on graduation and college. By senior year you can have college credits also have at least two classes left before graduation.
In Ezekiel Ezra Smith High School, I learned to accept help and to jump out of my comfort zone. It has taught me that if you need help, then get help. I did not join clubs and organizations but I wish I did. The more i was there the more it showed that at my school it had a feeling of security and family. It always felt like I was at a second home there like if I needed anything I was able to count on faculty and staff to get it. No matter what has happened through these four years, I wouldn't ask to be at any other school because all the pushing and and the late tutoring sessions were worth it to be able to say "I did it!" I couldn't have done it without the support of the wonderful teachers and faculty. Going to events were always a great load off the week. Being able to do concessions help me now that I work in a restaurant, it gave me a taste f what working is like. Being able to learn so much is what makes it just a great school. It offered many opportunities and experiences.
