Edward R Murrow is a great school academically and overall! It has been named to be the #1 diverse school in all of New York City. I’ve met so many different types of people at my school and I’ve learned so much about their different cultures. The teachers are great by always making sure students are involved in class discussions, and are very supportive. I recommend this school to everyone looking for a great learning environment because at Edward R. Murrow they care about their students.

Murrow is very diverse in many things, such as people, talents, academics, clubs, and sport! My experience at Murrow is very fun every day. I have friends from different backgrounds, and it's interesting to learn about them! What I love about Murrow is that there are so many types of classes. English class is not just a boring English literature class, but a class involved with some themes. For example, I took Psychology in Literature as my English class which is so fun! Murrow has many talented people in art, music, and theater. Although Murrow does not have great academics like other top-ranked schools, the program at Murrow offers students to try different fields before going to college. Most schools have just one normal boring gym class, but Murrow offers different types of sports! Students get to pick their gym class; pick yoga and you take the class for the entire semester. As an art student, I can tell that the art program is great and intense b/c it takes you to Cooper Union!
My experience at Edward R. Murrow High School was an unforgettable, rewarding experience. Enrolled in the Communication Arts Program gave me the opportunity to participate in interdisciplinary studies. The Forensic Science Department motivated me to pursue criminal justice in college and study forensics more in depth. Today, I now work for the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Thank you Edward R. Murrow for providing me with fundamental education!
