Edward L. Pine Middle School Reviews
Rating 2.67 out of 5 3 reviews
I think that Pine is a pretty good school, though I know that other people's experiences are not like my POV. A lot of the teachers are biased towards the rich white kids rather than other races (Such as Hispanics) which make up the majority of the school. This in turn causes the majority of the school to not be interested in learning. BUT, some of the majority are interested in learning. Like I said, a lot, not all, of teachers are biased towards the white kids. The other resources in Pine are excellent. Overall, I would rate this school 3 and a half stars (If I could).
I had a good experience at Pine however, I know a lot of other students do not. A lot of treatment at the school revolves around racial background. Students who came from the wealthier part of town and better elementary schools were the favorites and could get away with anything; from teachers and administrators. Most teachers are nice and pretty good at their job. I think there should be more efforts to eliminate the gap between the minority students and the rich white students. Lots of fun class options and good sports. Up to date STEM lab too.
No safety nets of any kind. Kid constantly bullied and harassed, chased, physically assaulted on more than one occasion. Administration poor to care or react. Education is poor. Kid struggles even with study period. Activities and sports, but kid is afraid to go to school or participate in after school programs. Awful experience.
