My experience at Reed High School has been interesting to say the least. There are tons of sports, clubs, and a wide variety of classes at the school but, I wish that there was a larger selection in Foreign Languages and that assemblies were more interactive. Go Raiders!

Reed High School suffers from a lack of a cohesive student body and friction with the administration. The student body is not involved in the events that the school puts on. From an educational standpoint, Reed is average in that department. If students decide to take upper-level AP and Honors classes, the students will be prepared for college. Reed has three Signature Academies, engineering, biomedical and human services that are unique in Washoe County School District and prepare students for those career fields and even providing college credit. The uniform dress code is lenient enough that students can still show expression while also following school policy. Sports are the highlight of Reed's legacy with awarding winning football, cross country, and track programs.
All the friendships I've built made me develop vital communication skills. Most of the things I enjoy where the humanities aspect of the school. There are murals of art around the school that is always nice to see. I know this school is old but I would have preferred a much newer school with replacements. I do keep in mind that it couldn't be a perfect reality. There are student in my school that smokes and do drugs after school, I do not like to see that and would like to think I'm in a cleaner environment with nothing sort of that in my high school career. The fact that the teachers I've had do not teach with good resources. It all depends on your hard work and study because a teacher likes to see students work for their success rather it being given to them, the rest is all left to you. I do not appreciate the lack of this school gives to each individual, they need to work on that. Therefore it all goes back to the self reliance and study a student needs to put their time into.
