My experience the last four years at Edward C. Reed High were very good. Teachers were nice and so caring and some were rude! Most of administration were intelligent and willing to help students. English teachers were able to help students get comfortable with what to expect at a job interview, which I thought was very helpful and encouraging. One thing I would change is the way academic counselors work. I would encourage parents to know what courses their child is taking. Be informed and possibly go in and meet the counselor with the student to make sure everything is in order.

Reed High School is a diverse community of students. It accepts all people no matter ethnicity, religion, or gender affiliation and gives students the outlet to express themselves freely and in their own unique way. Reed provides its students with guidance to succeed in their education and support for future educational decisions. It also cares about students' mental health and encourages students to speak to available teachers ad counselors. My experience at Reed is one I will never forget. It has always been so spirited and supportive. I hope that future generations will find ways to bring diversity even closer to create a more inclusive environment.
I had a few good teachers, one of which was most memorable since he made a hugely positive impact on my life. However, the other teachers rarely had an interest in connecting with their students. To me, it felt like majority of my teachers did not put so much effort into their teaching and acted as if they were willing to put off teaching since it isn't what they'd really like to be doing. I'd like to see more teachers with more enthusiasm to teach. Learning can be difficult but it's worse when your source of information isn't performing to their best standards to provide said information to you.
