I like the awesome school spirit not only students but also faculty members have for Edison. They offer multiple clubs and multiple sports, if you are falling behind you can stay after school for teachers to help you or even your own classmates, Also if you are that person that likes to get ahead of your class you can also take college courses for FREE! Something I dislike is that we have two separate lunches. I believe the purpose of the two lunches were to keep a better eye on the students, but when a student needs help and are unable to go after school the teacher is teaching another classroom.

Upon entering Edison High School, I was completely unaware of the diverse culture I would experience. Edison High School was on the average side spectrum of the typical high school experience. From the mentors to student body, everyone minded their own business and respected each other. This school was one of the most kept, and diverse set of students in the southside Stockton Unified School District. Edison High School is an AVID school that assists students with college readiness. Although their intentions were good, the generalized learning style sets students up for failure upon entering into college. This school is diversifying ethnicities, but creating a one-way success route within their academics. Edison High School should handle the students various backgrounds, and learning styles because not everyone has the same learning style. Students come in various shapes and sizes, so their temperament should be applied to as well.
My experience was somewhat normal, I did however love my teachers. I had some of the best teachers that SUSD could offer. When I was going there, there were a lot of extra curricular classes which made my school life a lot more fun and exciting. I have recently gone back a few times and it looks like they have remodeled almost half of the campus! It looks spectacular, all new desks and chairs, new buildings, even new staff. Something I would change would be the lack of extra curricular classes today. My niece attends Edison high and there are almost no extra curricular classes she could choose from. Other than that I have nothing but good things to say. This school gets a bad reputation, but it has a lot of soul.
