Edison has a great variety of teachers who truly care about the education of their students but it is outcasted by the lack of productivity most of the students endorse. These students are the same students who get rewarded by doing the bare minimum and the administration/counselors does not seem to prioritize on this situation but rather on the attendance of the students. What I would like for the administration to understand is that if a student is misbehaving, do not apply the same consequences to the rest of the students who have done nothing but put in the hard-work in their own studies. If a student does not want to put in the work, then they should not be automatically passed.

Edison high school has in fact brought me new opportunities that I wouldn’t get at another school. Edison has a magnet program about health care. There’s EMT, MA, dental assistant and pharmacy. With which program you choose you can take that class senior year and the teachers will prepare you for a final test at the end of the year. Depending if you pass it you will be certified. I love that Edison provides that because it means after high school you could already have a job that pays a higher wage. Most people would’ve had till college to be certified but I can do it in high school. From your freshman year to your junior year the health professions teaches you basic health skills. There’s medical terms and my favorite anatomy. With this opportunity I already have some knowledge of health when I go to college so I already have a advantage. With this I think Edison is a 4 star school.
I have had a wonkderful experience at Edison high school. They have many career path options, so when you graduate you can have a cert. in that endorcement you choose. You can choose from fire fighting, medical, dental, teaching, etc. I am in the fire fighting path way, so right now my senior year I am attending the fire academy and have hands on learning experience with seasoned fire fighters. At Edison we have many traditions that are cherished by the students themselves.
