Over all a good experience. Lots to get involved in, many AP choices and good concerned teachers! As a parent there were many opportunities to get involved and the teachers and coaches always welcomed parent involvement.
Head counselor always responded in a timely manner. Unfortunately not all the other counselors were as helpful.
As a parent I appreciated the diversity on campus. It seemed like a campus where everyone was welcome and accepted. Due to the STEM program offered at the school students from all over the district attended the school. This allowed for a rich student life experience.
There was a strong emphasis on academics and the school offered the most AP courses in the county. My children were also involved in many after school activities that were offered. They were the only school to offer NMUN in the area.
During school closures the school culture advisor organized virtual events to help connect students and and lessen the isolation of online school.

This school was great. Lots of kids, lot of diversity, great teachers, lots of ways to get involved, and lots of ways to get support! The only thing I would change is the interaction level of the students. I went for the full four years and I felt like a lot of the classes I took had the same kids. This could be due to the higher classes I took, but it would have been nice to interact with a larger variety of kids. Although, once I took more electives, I did get more of that varied interaction, so that was nice. The sports culture was a bit toxic as well, at least baseball.
I have really enjoyed these past 3 years at Edison High School! My favorite thing about Edison is the school pride and enthusiasm you can feel radiating off students and staff in the classroom and in the stands. Our student section under Friday night lights is the envy of our competition. The only reason for the 4 stars is due to the response to online learning. I understand that it was not the school's decision, but I think the quality of education could be increased if teachers were required to teach on campus. With some educators remaining in their homes, they are subject to many distractions and this takes time away from the very small amount of time we have in the "classroom."
