Edgewood Middle School Reviews

Middle school difficult for everybody, and I feel as though there should be more effort put forth on the social aspect (along with academics). The reason the social aspect is important is because without friends or even a close friend to be by, the student will feel left out. As someone who had very little friends in middle school, it was difficult to see so many kids with cell phones texting about their plans and even talking poorly about other students. The change that should be made is an overall more inclusiveness within the school. For instance, more clubs, more activities to bring the student body as a unit, and more attentiveness to the kids that aren't necessarily the "popular" ones. Middle school is a rough time trying to transition from being a kid to an almost adult. Middle school should prepare kids for high-school, academically and socially and I feel that my middle school didn't do me, specifically, justice.

There was lots of classes that you could take. The teachers were very nice and welcoming to me as a new student.
