Going to Edgewood has been a memorable experience for me. It has been a mixed bag as to the specifics, but overall I would recommend at least shadowing the school if you think that you or your child will be a good fit there. A good fit for Edgewood is someone who is open to learning about faith, believes in the value of community service, kind but with thick skin. There are a lot of stereotypes about Edgewood, some true and some false. It's just something you have to learn to deal with as a student. YES NEW STADIUM!

The value of this school is immeasurable. The faculty, staff and counselors encourage students to explore the breadth of their athletic, artistic and intellectual curiosity in a world-class facility. Students act with integrity, a sense of responsibility toward the greater good and generosity reinforced by the Dominican values of truth, compassion, justice, community and partnership. The education continued in new and incredible ways after the Safer at Home Quarantine began by reaching the whole student through rigorous virtual academic engagement and daily authentic personal support.
Edgewood is a private, Catholic high school, loosely linked with the campus school and college of the same name. The teachers at Edgewood high school are the best that I have encountered. They encourage students to be their best, taking time aside to discuss specific passions. For example, my AP European History teacher took time discussed with me the Norse and the Ancient Chinese. The office rarely takes responsibility for their own mistakes in things such as scheduling and do not accommodate students when unavoidable outside stimuli affect their performance such as a chronic illness and gym class. They just got a new fine arts center. Although the administration is working on being more inclusive, there is still a fair amount of Misogyny and Homophobia perpetrated by students and teachers.
