Athletics is the dominating extracurricular opportunity at Edgewood. Most everyone plays a sport and attends the practice right after school lets out. Our athletics are very successful and have great coaches. Seventh period for high school, which is the last period of the day, is work outs. Following the work outs, athletes go straight into practice.

Most clubs take part during the day. Some include AG Club, Spanish Club, First Priority (worship), and Yearbook. In previous years the most fun club was Drama, which there was a class for. The Drama Club would put on a play each year and even students not in the class were able to attend after school practices and take part in the experience.

I have been at Edgewood since midway through my fifth grade year, and in five months I will be graduating. I cheer, play softball, and volleyball and what I love most about athletics at Edgewood is that we all create a bond that is greater than "team". It is like family in every sport, and with it being such a small school, most everyone plays at least one sport. Edgewood is known for its championships, but if it was not for the relationship all of the players have, we would not be so successful. In the classroom everyone works just as hard to make their grades. We do not have to hesitate to ask others for help and our teachers make learning easy. I would choose this school again because I was welcomed into the family here in the middle of a school year and nothing has changed. All of the people are outgoing and loving and they genuinely care about others.
The teachers at my school are very knowledgeable and easy to approach. Most of them teach in a way that is easier to grasp and understand the lesson. Some also incorporate life lessons into what we do, as well as the Bible. A specific example of this is our Dual Enrollment English teacher, and because of that it is my favorite class. All of the teachers communicate exceptionally well and normally leave us with no questions to ask about assignments or due dates. They also maintain a consistency in grading, there is no favoritism shown.
