Edgewater High has a mix of amazing, terrible, and average teachers. Your experience there will be dictated by which teachers you get and what classes you have. The administration also has some outstanding individuals but there is such a rotating list of guidance counselors it makes connecting with a counselor difficult. Edgewater has an EST program and many opportunities for classes in those fields. It also has a strong music program, but the visual arts programs are underfunded and undersupported. Edgewater has a strong sense of school pride and school spirit, but lacks enough fun activities that encourages all of its students to have school spirit. Edgewater also all around has strong sports teams, especially football and basketball. Overall, Edgewater has its pros and cons making it an average school.

There are some things that are great in Edgewater and I'm lucky to experience including: laptops, the magnet program, and STEM classes. I'm not in the school zone but Edgewater allows people like me to still attend their school if I'm in the magnet program. Luckily for me, I'm interested in technology so it's a win-win. However, I have some problems with the school. This school is pretty high ranked in Orange County, but that doesn't mean it's a good school. That just means that the school will strictly follow anything that Orange County says instead of focusing on students individually. Students will be placed in a class not because they're interested in it, but because Orange County demands it. This doesn't help the student get any closer to their long-term goal; it just helps the school get placed higher in their county. OCPS means success but they aren't saying they are success or they lead to success.
Edgewater high school is a very excellent high school with well qualified teachers. The teachers and other staff are very friendly. The students are also very friendly with corporate mind. Edgewater high school also have different kind of clubs and other organizations to flourish and help to grow the students not only in academic level but also socially. The counselors are also very curious about the students grades, they also provide after school tutoring for the students who need extra help. They also work with us to increase the SAT scores by conducting classes on saturdays and practises on fridays. Overall this school is very excellent in both academic level and it play a major role for the students who study there.
