I was born and raised in the small town of Edgemont, South Dakota and it is really hard for me to imagine living anywhere else other than here. The community is very involved in school activities and gives the school so much. The teachers and other faculty are very supportive and tough. They always push you to be the best that you possibly can, so when you have to go on to the next level of schooling you are prepared. When I say this, I would put emphasis that this school district has extremely strong math and science programs that offer many courses and opportunities for students. My experience at this school has been wonderful, and I know that it has prepared me to go out into the world and be successful.

I have gone to the Edgemont High School for all my life and it has prepared me for the next step in my life. I love all the teachers that I have had. They do everything they can to help you be prepared and good good grades. It is a small school but I think that’s what makes it so great. Personally knowing all the teachers and students is an advantage.
Edgemont High School is a very small school. Teachers know the students and they are always willing to give us extra help when we need it. Class sizes range from eight to nineteen students. We are all pretty close and I feel very fortunate to have gone to EHS from Kindergarten on.
