Eden Lake and the EP School District are working hard and smart to not only keep our kids safe, but to keep our kids learning in person. They understand the importance of valuing what kids need from a big picture and we so appreciate them for this! I would also like to note that we have a child with special needs, and their special education department is SECOND TO NONE. I can't count all the ways they have gone above and beyond to help him learn, interact, and help him navigate his way through school and his specific challenges. This includes Eagle Zone! The administrative and transportation departments are top notch as well. We open enrolled at Eden Lake because our local elementary school was so disorganized, understaffed, and had a severe lack of communication. Eden Lake has been efficient, organized and on the ball with everything. I would like to applaud the leadership at Eden Lake. They are kind, communicative, and always improving.
My granddaughter started Eden Lake in the first grade. She was out of control, couldn't follow directions, wouldn't listen to teachers, and struggling in all subjects. With the guidance of her Special Ed teacher Mrs. Kegel, her speach teacher Miss Hailey and her therapist Miss Tara I can say my granddaughter continues to grow and thrive both emotionally and academically. If it weren't for Eden Lake I honestly don't know where she would be. If I were a millionaire I would donate a minimum of 1 million dollars to the special education program at Eden Lake and the other Eden Prairie Schools. I look forward to the rest of her academic career with Eden Prairie Schools.
I'm thoroughly pleased with this school. My son is exceptionally smart but lacks social skills. They have a program designed to increase social and emotional development at no cost. Ther teachers have high expectations for the children, it's diverse, they learn a second language starting in kindergarten and they are encouraged to be their best. It is important that my children are in a leaning environment where the teachers and students represent the globe that we live in. I drive my son 30 minutes to school and worth it!
