My kids have been at eddy illegally for 2.5 years now. We switched in the middle of the school year from Newport and have never looked back. The kids love it and I love it. The teachers communicate with me directly if there is something I need to know about, they have electives for middle and high school that are far beyond anywhere else in the county, woodshop, welding, horticulture, sewing/home ec, etc.
The kids and staff are a family and they bond the kids have is incredible. Some kids have been there since kindergarten, and some are new, but they are always welcoming no matter who you are where you come from!

Eddyville Charter is a very small school. It is a tight knit community with family like qualities. The one on one teacher/student relationships are great for those who are needy and require a more personal approach to learning. There are many classes offered for different skill sets, which allows people to explore what they may be interested in doing later in life. I only complain about the drama and distance that comes with going to Eddyville. Eddyville is its own county here in Oregon, sitting in-between Philomath and Toledo, It is about a 30 minute drive, and even longer on bus. As for drama, it is stirred among young and old teens that create rumors and some toxic environments to be in. The way to get through it is with a iron head and a steel heart. Other than that, this school is good for most.
What I like about Eddyville Charter School is that were all like one big family. Everyone takes care of one another and I really feel loved here. Another thing I love about the school is the connection I have with teachers and the one on one learning I get to truly make sure get all the information that is being taught. Overall a very special school and a nice place to call home.
