Class of 2023, was a great experience, didn't have any friends moving in as I had just moved to the area, but made some in about a month, though it could definitely be hard for others as most people know each other from elementary school. The classes are all really easy, you can do no homework and scrape by with a B-A-, teachers are hit and miss teachers like Mrs. Mosco and Mr. Ohashi are examples of great ones, but there are many bad ones. The culture is a bit cliquey, but most people are chill. You don't really see any drugs, just the occasional vape, the kids swore a lot and are on their phones in class, some teachers care others don't. The attire for some of the girls is questionable, booty shorts and crop tops are common, I don't really think middle schoolers should wear that but... School is very liberal, no racism or homophobia or whatever, if anything it's the other way around. Sports are cool and fun, I really enjoyed them.
this school is just bad, some teachers don't care about you. people r weird here and there is a ton of hard seltzer and alcohol cans in the bushes
I honestly wish I could rate lower. The harassment, bullying, and overall unfair treatment I had to endure not only from fellow students but from teachers and staff as well is stifling. They don't care about the well-being of their student body. There is blatant racism, homophobia, and classism persistent here. They do not care about their students' mental health. Consistently did black students receive unfair treatment despite doing nothing wrong. They would suspend POC students at the wave of a finger if given the chance. They dress code 11 to 14-year-old girls for being "too distracting" when showing shoulders in 85-degree spring heat. On top of this, they don't take accommodations for students seriously. They pile on work for students and will publicly shame them in their classes if they fail to meet deadlines. Do not send your kid here if you care about their wellbeing. If it's the only option, homeschool instead.
