The discipline is very low here, as is the actual care into what the students would like to see/have done, I've gone here since my 7th grade year and it just seems to get worse, the roof is leaky, the water can be rusty, there's no AC, and year after year the school board says they're going to fix it, and then they don't. I'm glad the teachers at least care for the students and try to help them, though it can be extremely difficult because of the way most students act, they're often VERY disrespectful and constantly talk back and don't do their work causing the school to get a much lower overall grade compared to other schools. Not to mention our funding seems to go towards solely the athletics department, which would be somewhat okay if they actually won most of their games, speaking of funding, the lunch is definitely underfunded, often consisting of 5-7 pieces of a certain food (think nuggets) and milk with maybe some fruit or a veggie.for high schoolers. It's depressing
There are 2 main public highschools in Eau Claire. They were fun, just a typical high school. If you tried to be involved and you were a nice person, it was easy to find people to fit in with and have a good time. Something always happens each year, however. Like one kid started a toilet on fire...
There are regular drills exercising different events, although with our geography and distance from an overall unsafe city, threats are always in the back of the mind.
