Coming from a small private school 8th grade year I wasn't sure what to expect attending a school of 2200 students. As I look back on my four years at Eastview I can say without a doubt attending there was one of the best decisions I ever made. Everything from the sports to the people was fantastic and the best part about it was it was free! Being a public school my folks didn't have to pay anything to send me their (some city taxes) but that was it. If you get involved with the school and all it has to offer, you'll make memories that will last a lifetime.

I like Eastview! There are some really incredible teachers, and there is a really supportive environment among the students. One thing I would like to see changed is how inactive the Guidance Counselors are. I feel like they aren't very connected to the vast majority of their students, and I think that could definitely be a place for improvement.
Eastview has very dedicated staff and teachers. They offer a broad spectrum of electives and great choices for honors and AP students. Also, really appealing to students are the extra curricular activities. If sports, drama or music is not your thing, you can certainly find another group to fit into to fill your before and after school hours with social activity. And, if it's not already an organized group, you can create it. School spirit is alive and well and it really feels, for many kids, like an extended family. What could be done better? Freshman year, there are many middle schools converging into a large freshman class. I'd like to see Eastview do a better job of making that merge easier on kids. Add more "get-to-know-you" activities before the fall kick-off.
