The teachers really care about each student's individual progress. The education is amazing, and there are so many opportunities to explore what are students interested in. They are taught by very qualified teachers who are clearly passionate about what they do. There are a lot of clubs ,plenty of sports you can try. Independent and self-driven students can really thrive here.my daughter loves and enjoy EPS.
As a student as Eastside Prep, I would say the overall atmosphere is very enjoyable and students are very sociable. The current principal, Dr. Terry Macaluso (she came from Lakeside), is an extremely competent administrator, which allowed us to be one of the first schools to adapt to the Coronavirus situation and go online almost immediately mid to late February of 2020.
Most teachers have secondary educations--Some have masters and doctorates, and their lesson plans are just as engaging and interesting as they are. The technology that Eastside Prep uses is well-integrated into the curriculum, and the tech office is always ready to help or substitute replacements.
However...the curriculum Eastside Prep offers does not offer AP or IB classes, the homework load can be overbearing (sometimes), the campus is cramped and sport teams must take a bus to a field, diversity is very low and there aren't a lot of extracurriculars (like a math team) due to a small student body. :/

Amazing school, gorgeous faculty and staff, happy parents beyond words. This is the place that prepares kids for the new century in every term. The school is young but very mature at the same time. Principal Terry and her team brings in an incredible experience, including many years in that "famous school" and blends it with the knowledge and science of children's developmental needs as well as a serious consciousness of what would be required of our children in the ever changing world. I have a gifted child in many fronts BUT still she improved so much in her first year as a 5th grader. It is all thanks to the extremely nurturing and diversity-supporting atmosphere of the school, well rounded faculty, carefully planned curriculum, and the backbone advisory system. It is not only the TALI building that stands tall in this school. It is everything about it.
