We came to Eastside Christian School (ECS) after an extensive search. We wanted a Christian school that prioritized academic excellence, character, and security. After previously attending another local private school and touring many other area private and public schools, we chose ECS. The staff are warm, professional, and caring. The teachers invest their hearts into their classes. The school does an excellent job of providing an education that is tailored to the individual child and his/her academic gifts, talents, interests, and needs. For students that are excelling in math, they have a Math Movers program that allows a student to do math at a higher grade level. Our children love ECS and we are so thankful to be a part of the ECS community. We highly recommend it to others!
We enrolled our twin three-year olds in PreK this year at Eastside Christian and have had a wonderful experience in our first year at the school. Our sons' teacher is kind, compassionate, skilled, and organized, and the helpers in the classroom are also loving and skilled. We have noticed improved social skills, attention spans, and behaviors at home during this school year. In addition, we have appreciated the thoughtful opportunities for community building. We highly recommend Eastside Christian!
Eastside Christian School is a good school. They have small class sizes (about 23ish) kids per grade, so it is easy to concentrate. I also liked their 1:1 student-to-computer ratio for the middle school, so we can do projects and assignments at home.
Elementary School Education is great. The teachers are warm, kind, and caring, and they do a good job of teaching their students. They treat their work here like it is something they want to do, not just because it is their job.
My only complaint is their middle school and their facilities. They have a science CLASSROOM not a science LAB, but it's not that big of a problem.
They also don't have a cafeteria. Middle school students eat in the gym, either at tables or on the floor.
Their food catering service isn't that good, though.
But my main problem is with their electives. They only offer 4-5 electives every trimester for every elective class period, and it's usually the same. And they don't have many ASA choices. Good school overall.
