As a rising junior at EHS, I can say it’s a very average high school. The only highlight is the 1-to-1 laptop program for each student in the TCPS school system. That aside, there are many glaring problems:
- Bullying is swept under the rug until someone gets hurt. Sometimes over the last school year there were 3 fights a day, if not more. Students don’t always feel safe.
- Base academics are incredibly easy, AP classes are the only thing that will challenge you. AP teachers are the ones who really care about your education. There is no middle ground between base education and AP. I wish there was.
- Scheduling is hard. Schedules always arrive late, and the schedules released yesterday were incomplete, only showed results for the first .
- 3 bomb threats in the last year, poor school-to-teacher communication. No students were held accountable.
As someone who cares about my future, it seems like the average EHS student is apathetic to their education, as is the administration. Sad.

I really like the school but in all honesty, except for a few teachers, this school is bad. The floors seem dirty, there are ceiling tile stains, and there is rotted molding in many class rooms. The administrators are overbearing and not too friendly. The bathrooms are locked in between classes and kids can't go to the bathroom within the first 10 minutes of class and the last 10 minutes of class so sometimes kids have to wait an upwards of 20 minutes to use the restroom if they really need to. Some teachers are great though, the Culinary teachers have always been nice to me and some math teachers have inspired me to be a better student
Although I wish I had been more involved in my high school experience, I got a decent education somewhere in-between late night breakdowns and last minute projects to maintain my 4.0 GPA. Overall, Easton Highschool is your average high school, not bad but nothing too special. I'm grateful that our principal made a good effort to include the arts programs as much as sports, although it never can be equal either way. The facilities aren't terrible, just the usual graffiti and toilet paper on the floor. Problems I've noticed have to do with vaping and juuling in the bathrooms which, by the way, CAN'T be solved by locking the bathrooms before classes and during lunches. There are a good handful of good teachers that I've taken lots of valued information from, but there are a few that I would not recommend. I'm proud of the effort being made to make the school more diverse all around, despite county and statewide restrictions. All in all, a pretty good average high school.
