The school sometimes gets a bad representation because of violence or happenings in the surrounding areas, but it brings students of different socioeconomic and racial backgrounds together in the same building. There is actually a lot of opportunity as well. I was able to participate in several clubs, take AP classes, and enroll in two college courses for free at a local college through the school.
I will say that I had a guidance counselor that thought I was not as smart as I was (likely because I was black or a girl or both), and she tried to persuade me not to take the college courses or the AP courses (I still did).
The principals have been very kind and welcoming towards diversity as well. If you try your best and are respectful, getting an education from Easton Area High School will be great!

It is what you make of it. There are a handful of great teachers, but they mostly teach AP classes (go figure), so non-AP students will not have as easy access to good teachers. The administration/guidance can be a hulking stone wall of bureaucracy when it comes to things like OK-ing abnormal or overbooked class schedules.

I had a decent time at Easton, but mostly because I was lucky enough to have some great teachers and a strong involvement in extracurriculars (especially the music program, which is excellent). But it can be hard for some students, because beyond encouraging the raging school spirit around football and "Tradition" (which apparently courses through our Rover veins thicker than blood), EAHS doesn't make an huge effort to academically support and encourage a wide range of interests. All the resources and opportunities you need to make a successful four years can definitely be found here, but for the most part you need to seek them out yourself.
The best four years of my life were sent at Easton Area High School. It's not like your average high school. The teachers build relationships with their students and they set them up for success. EAHS has its annual football game on thanksgiving day morning against Phillipsburg High School at Lafayette College on Fisher field. It's one of the longest running football rivalry traditions in the country. Leading up to the game we have a bonfire butilt by the senior class, the pep rally, and they powderpuff game just mear days before. Words do not possibly describe how much pride and love I had for my my city and my school. It's really unlike any other. Easton is not only a community, we are a family. Like us eastonians always say, Once a rover, always a rover.
