There are many nice teachers and staff members who are willing to give extra help and advice when needed. There are also many students, so many opportunities to make friends and meet new people as well. Because of the number of students, the hallways do get crowded, as well as the parking lots directly before and afterschool. There are a variety of clubs and sports facilitated by the school that give students many activities and extracurriculars to choose from. The school community is welcoming overall and the school is a safe and fulfilling place for education!
Eastlake is a fantastic high school! I personally was never bullied, didn't feel socially pressured or unsafe, and had a wonderful education there. They have a plethora of clubs to join, school sports to participate in, and have a variety of classes to choose from.
Eastlake offers many AP classes which allow students get college credit in high school. Lastly, these school is fairly diverse in terms of personalities and types of people.
However, there were few shortcomings of Eastlake. They didn't do a lot of preparation for college, as most of it was done for namesake didn't actually prepare us much. The school is overly focused on sports and athletics which shadows many of the other events that happen at Eastlake. There is a small sense of competitive culture, but that can be seen as a good thing.
Overall, I loved my time at Eastlake, and would definitely recommend it for most people.

Failure during COVID
Eastlake High School fail to follow the guidelines and the direction that the Department of Health has set out for them to keep our kids COVID safe. Kids should be placed at min 3 ft distance. Notice, not eve 6 ft as required everywhere else, but only 3 ft.
Eastlake High School fail to follow it anyways and it turns to hotbed for COVID.
All correspondence didn't bring any results, because as it turned out, everyone in LWSD are aware of those violations and everyone in LWSD does not care about them, about children health and as follows about the health of the members of our society. It may fall under contributory negligence.
So many kids get infected with COVID because of LWSD failure. Who knows how many their relatives?
Department of Health set specific guidelines and the direction for schools for a reason. Not for schools to ignoring them.
Kids and their health should go first!
